Jimmy Wong is a Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and Accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of CPAs. He also holds the Financial Risk Manager designation and earned his Master’s degree in Finance (Investment Management) and Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Professional Accounting) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Jimmy has solid experience in providing corporate valuation advisory and related consulting services in the past 15 years. Before joining Valtech Valuation, he gained rich exposure in valuation and related party transfer pricing consulting at a Big 4 accounting firm and a renowned valuation advisory group. Jimmy has led and signed off hundreds of valuations for a broad clientele, including private equity and venture capital funds, publicly listed and private groups, and state-owned enterprises, meeting the purpose of financial reporting, portfolio valuations, public listing and transactions, strategic restructuring, fundraising, litigation and dispute resolution, global tax compliance.
Jimmy has extensive experience in industries such as technology, media, telecommunications, power utilities, renewable energy, automotive, banking, brokerage, venture capital, startups, biological and mining assets. He has evaluated numerous high-profile projects, including hundreds of new energy and smart city projects owned by state enterprises, having delivered fair value opinions exceeding HKD 100 billion. He provided restructuring valuation for a century-old retail enterprise and strategic overseas projects for state enterprises.
Jimmy is a lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society, recognized for his academic excellence in finance. He excels in applying advanced valuation frameworks and research evidence to provide effective academic support in complex scenarios.
